Windows, lights and door hinges broken, laptop and wallet stolen

Oct. 30

Assault: At 2:34 p.m., deputies responded to a prior assault at a residence in the 13000 block of Upper Hill Court. An investigation revealed the suspect slammed a door into the victim. The case is being submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.

Possession of drug paraphernalia: At 12:23 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road for an equipment violation. An investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

DUI, unlicensed driver: At 4 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Cox and Saratoga avenues for equipment and traffic violations. An investigation revealed the suspect was unlicensed and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Nov. 1

Vehicle burglary: Between 9 p.m. and 11:10 p.m., someone vandalized a vehicle parked at Fremont Older Open Space Preserve on Prospect Road. The suspect broke the vehicle’s windows, spray-painted the vehicle, broke its lighting equipment and opened all the doors so that the hinges were overextended and broken. The total amount of damage is unknown. The suspect also stole a laptop and a wallet left inside the vehicle for a loss valued at $1,900.

Residential burglary: At 9:24 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 22000 block of Villa Oaks Lane by breaking a glass door. The house was searched, but details of any stolen property were not provided.

Nov. 5

Stolen license plates, reckless evading, resisting arrest: At 5:52 p.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a vehicle with stolen license plates at Quito Road and Marshall Lane. An investigation revealed both license plates were stolen from a vehicle in Sunnyvale and were still outstanding. Deputies located the vehicle a short time later and attempted to stop it, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded until the vehicle became disabled. Two suspects then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. After further investigation, one suspect was identified and located at a residence in Sunnyvale. That suspect was arrested; the other is unknown and at large.

Fraudulent registration, suspended driver’s license: At 11 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Scotland Drive for expired registration. An investigation revealed the suspect was driving with a suspended license in a vehicle with a fraudulent registration tab. The suspect, who also had two outstanding warrants, was arrested.
