Executive sports editor
Bud Geracie
Bud Geracie is the executive sports editor for the Bay Area News Group, a position he has held since 2007. Before that, he wrote sports columns, including a popular Saturday feature called "In the Wake of the Week." Going way back, he covered the Oakland A's from 1985-1988, leaving the beat after Kirk Gibson's homer off Dennis Eckersley, still the most amazing thing he has witnessed in person.
